First investment in the GREVISLIN project completed

On Friday, 13 September, the grand opening of the new footpath along the River Pivka took place. The footpath runs from Vilharjeva Street to the vicinity of the car park at Postojna Cave. It was built as part of the project ‘Green Infrastructure, Conservation and Improvement of the Status of Endangered Species and Habitat Types along Rivers’, or GREVISLIN for short.

Invitation to the ‘Clean Coast 2019’ clean-up campaign

‘Clean Coast’ is a clean-up campaign taking place across Slovenia’s coastal municipalities, now in its tenth year; as well as cleaning up the coastline, it aims to raise public awareness with a view to reducing the amount of new waste entering the marine environment.

Rubbish on the banks of the Rižana and Dragonja rivers

As part of a project we are carrying out at the Slovenian Water Institute on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, we have investigated the presence of macro-litter on the banks of the Dragonja and Rižana rivers.
