On Monday, 1 July 2019, an article on the quantities of plastic in Slovenian waters was published in the *Dnevnik* newspaper under the Environment / Waste section.

Experts from the Slovenian Water Institute presented the results of microplastic sampling carried out on the sea surface, in fish and in coastal sediments. In addition to the impact on the environment, the article also highlights the harmful effects on humans.
