To help us organise the event, registration is compulsory at:
uros.robic@izvrs.si by 11:00 on 19 September 2019 at the latest. Upon registration, volunteers will receive further instructions and additional information about the event itself.
We will notify you of your clean-up location and meeting point by email by 3.00 pm on Friday 20 September at the latest. (The event will only be cancelled the day before in the event of very bad weather.)
This year’s edition is taking place under the slogan “DOING MORE WITH LESS”, so volunteers and all participants are invited to bring 1–3 items with them, which they will swap at the swap shop on Strunjan Beach under the guidance of the Izola Centre for Useful Objects.
As with every year, the event follows the ZERO WASTE principle – no waste – and encourages all participants to do the same.
By taking part in the campaign, participants remove waste from the natural environment, thereby preventing further breakdown or fragmentation of plastic into smaller particles. This helps prevent the creation of additional microplastics, which are almost impossible to remove from the environment.
