The BeWater project was presented at an international workshop in Ljubljana On Tuesday, 24th
November 2015, an international workshop on adapting to the effects of climate change in agricultural ecosystems took place in Ljubljana. It was organised by the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia as part of the European Cropsustain project (7th OP, www.cropsustain.si/). The workshop was attended by the Ambassador of the French Republic to Slovenia and numerous renowned international experts in the fields of agriculture and the environment.
The experts discussed the latest research findings on the impact of climate change on the environment, with a focus on agriculture. Representatives of the Water Research Institute of the Republic of Slovenia presented the objectives and results to date of the 7th OP BeWater project, particularly the approach to cooperation and collaboration between experts and stakeholders in adapting to climate change.
The workshop concluded with a review of the current state of negotiations and a presentation of expectations ahead of the COP21 international climate conference in Paris.
