Technical basis for determining the Republic of Slovenia’s priorities in the field of the environment and the efficient use of resources, and the identification of areas most suitable for co-financing under the LIFE programme

program LIFE

As part of this project task, we have drawn up guidelines setting out which project topics/thematic priorities from the LIFE Multiannual Work Programme for the period 2014–2017 in the priority areas of ‘Environment and Resource Efficiency’ and ‘Environmental Governance and Information’ in connection with the Marine Environment Management Plan (NUMO), the Water Management Plan – NUV and the Operational Programmes in the field of water management (water quality, flood protection and wastewater), which are of exceptional importance to Slovenia in terms of addressing environmental issues, and which are more suitable for potential Slovenian applicants given their professional and technical expertise.

The results of our project form the basis for identifying the areas in Slovenia where the development of projects to tackle environmental problems should be encouraged, which are eligible for LIFE programme grants and, at the same time, address national priorities.
