Symposium on plastic as a museum object and plastic as waste – Plastic: rubbish or treasure?
To coincide with the highly acclaimed guest exhibition ‘Final Destination: the Sea?’, the Museum of Architecture and Design has organised a symposium addressing both the ecological and the restoration and conservation aspects of objects made from plastic materials. Participants will include, amongst others, Dr Thea van Oosten, Prof. Dr Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, Dr Andreja Ramšak, Dr Manca Kovač Viršek, Dr Andrej Kržan, Assoc. Prof. Dr Katja Kavkler and many others. The symposium curators are Špela Šubic and Nikola Pongrac.
The symposium will take place on 13 March, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm at the Museum of Architecture and Design.

The event is organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Biology, the Piran Marine Biology Station and the Water Research Institute of the Republic of Slovenia.
