This issue of the SPARE project newsletter presents the results of a survey in which we sought the views of residents, associations, businesses and other stakeholders on the management and protection of the Soča river catchment area. A similar survey was also carried out in other pilot areas of the project partners, and by comparing the results we will gain a better understanding of the challenges involved in managing the Soča river basin. The results will also contribute to the preparation of the next steps in the SPARE project, in which participants will play an active role in shaping decisions, measures and plans for the management of the Soča river basin.
The survey was anonymous and publicly available, and could therefore be completed by anyone interested.
