IzVRS is participating as a partner in the new European STRIVER project – Strengthening the resilience of transboundary river basins to climate change, with a focus on extreme hydrological events, which is being implemented under the INTERREG Slovenia–Croatia programme.

The project launch agreement was signed on 2 March this year, and the partners met in person for the first time at the project’s kick-off meeting, which took place on Friday 6 March in Novo Mesto.

The key objectives of the project include:

The key outcome of the project will be the development of an action plan to increase the resilience of two transboundary river basins to extreme hydrological events, which will bring together the results of research and modelling and provide recommendations for integrated water management and long-term cross-border cooperation.
