In collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, the Water Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia (MOP) and the Water Institute, a specialist workshop will be organised as part of the current exhibition at the Museum of Architecture and Design – Living with Water – an event forming part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
The theme of the workshop is:
- the integration and implementation of EU directives and strategies in river basins, along the coast and at sea at sub-regional level, through the planning and integration of green infrastructure into the environment and landscape in river basins, along the coast and at sea,
- presentation of the results of existing technical studies and projects, co-funded by EU programmes, for the development and planning of green infrastructure in the Soča and Vipava river basins and the Adriatic Sea,
- the development and implementation of pilot green infrastructure projects linking the Soča and Vipava river basins and the Adriatic Sea – a case study of a project co-financed by the EU Interreg SLO-IT programme – GREVISLIN
Short presentations on three key thematic areas for discussion are planned, whilst the majority of the workshop’s time is set aside for questions, suggestions and discussion amongst workshop participants.
The workshop will take place on Friday, 9 November 2018, starting at 10:00 at Fužine Castle, Pot na Fužine 2, Ljubljana
