IzVRS is a partner in the project. The lead partner is NIRAS IC Sp. z o.o., Poland. The other partners are: Milieu Ltd., Belgium; RAST Muhendislik Hizmetleri Ltd., Turkey; and the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, Italy.
The aim of the project is to achieve a good environmental status of the marine environment in Turkey in a sustainable manner, in line with the legal framework of the European Union, specifically through the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD). The project will serve as a tool for the conservation of the marine environment in all of Turkey’s seas.
The purpose of the project is to understand the legal, institutional and technical requirements of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD, 2008/56/EC) and to ensure effective decision-making regarding the next steps in the implementation of this directive in Turkey.
