The aim of the project was to determine, for the Hubelj stream in Ajdovščina, within the area designated for the abstraction of process water for the company Fructal d.o.o., to determine the water flow that must be maintained in the stream to ensure suitable habitat conditions for the target species, the brook lamprey and the Soča trout. The following work was carried out as part of the project: a hydrological analysis, flow measurements, an ichthyological study, hydrodynamic and habitat modelling, and a proposed solution involving the introduction of an acceptable water abstraction rate depending on the current flow.
