On Wednesday 23 October 2019, the 2nd national workshop on ‘Sediment Management’ will take place as part of the DanubeSediement project (Sediment Management in the Danube River Basin, INTERREG – Danube Region Programme).
The aim of the workshop is to present the results of the DanubeSediment project, which is due to conclude at the end of November this year, and to outline the challenges we face in sediment management in the future.

| 10.10–10.30 | Brief presentation of the DanubeSediment project and the conclusions from the 1st national workshop |
| 10.30–11.00 | Overview of work carried out by technical working groups:
1. Sediment database 2. Sediment balance 3. Impacts and measures 4. Sediment management |
| 11.00–11.30 | Break |
| 11.30–12.00 | The framework for sediment management in Slovenia
(Water Act, Water Management Plan, sediment removal programmes, operational sediment management plans for hydropower facilities, biodiversity …). |
| 12.00 – 12.45 | Discussion on identified future challenges |
| 12.45 – 13.00 | Conclusion of the workshop |
