As part of the 2nd Geo Slovenia Conference, organised by the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia, a Declaration of Intent was signed to establish the Geo Slovenia Community, representing a significant step towards bringing together stakeholders in the field of spatial and environmental data in Slovenia.

The Geo Slovenia Community will operate as an open ecosystem, bringing together data, processes, services and experts from the fields of spatial data, the environment, water and digital transformation. Its aim is to improve the accessibility, quality and interoperability of spatial data and to promote its more effective use in the public sector, science and the economy.
IzVRS is one of the signatories to the Declaration of Intent, thereby confirming its commitment to collaborating on the development of national solutions for the management and use of spatial and environmental data, particularly in the field of water.
The next steps will involve drawing up the formal framework for the community’s operations, including its constitution, action plan and governance model.

IzVRS will actively participate in the further development of the Geo Slovenia Community.
